The jubilee thirtieth edition of Herceg Novi April theater festivities, on the stage of the Park Hall, brings another theatrical magic. On Tuesday, April 29, starting at 8:30 p.m., fans of theater art will have a unique opportunity to enjoy the play "Vrapčić".
The play "Vrapčić" was realized in a co-production between the oldest theater in Serbia, the Knjaževsko-Serbian Theater, and the youngest theater in Serbia, the Puls Theater from Lazarevac.
Vrapčić - the story of the life of Edith Piaf, a biographical musical melodrama about the life of the most famous chansonnier of the 20th century, performed by the ensembles of "Puls Teatr" from Lazarevka and Knjaževsko-Serbian Theater from Kragujevac, with Jasmina Dimitrijević in the title role. The author of Vrapčić, Nataša Ilić, through her drama follows the singer's life from her earliest childhood and youth, through her professional beginnings, to her great success and tragic end. Piaf's greatest hits, sung in Serbian for this performance, which the orchestra performs live on stage in arrangements by Gabor Lenđel, also lead the viewer through an exciting story about the singer's incredible life, filled with great loves, sufferings, the whirlwind of war, friendships with some of the most famous people of the last century, through all that makes the stormy life of a real star.
Miloš Jagodić's performance is, in the opinion of all those who have seen it, a rare gem of its kind created outside of musical theater. "Vrapčić" premiered in 2017, since then it has been continuously playing in home theaters and on guest appearances, filling halls and the hearts of the audience.
