The fairytale Luštica peninsula, located between the Bay of Boka Kotor and Trašta Bay, faithfully preserves the entire wealth of natural beauty and cultural heritage, imbued with the charms of the countryside and gastronomy, characteristic of this climate.
Luštica, which spatially belongs partly to Tivat and partly to Herceg Novi, cannot translate all its beauty into one story, which would fully highlight the importance of this pearl of the sea for two cities.
It was an extremely responsible task before the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Municipality of Tivat to create a project for the construction of the Panoramic Road in Luštica and to show life in the Luštica villages. Inspiring, attractive and special, it aroused the great interest of visitors, who since last year have had the opportunity to use the audio guide implemented on the izi.TRAVEL application, and get to know the Panoramic Road on Luštica authentically.
The tourist organization of the municipality of Tivat and the tourist organization of the municipality of Herceg Novi established cooperation and launched a series of activities within the joint project "Life on Luštica".
The project aims to connect the Luštica peninsula into a unique tourist offer where, in a relatively small space, you can experience numerous natural and cultural diversities of this eternally interesting and magical peninsula. In the first phase of this project, a tourist information map was created, and then an audio guide was created (on the IZI.travel application) in several language variants, followed by the creation of signage, viewpoints, etc.
The panoramic road "Life on Luštica" is a free audio guide that is available on the izi.TRAVEL application and which, with a pleasant story, covers the area from the Solila nature reserve, through Obala Đuraševići, Bjelilo, Krašić, and all through the villages of Luštica and back to Luštica bay.
It is designed so that you can enjoy the natural beauty of the natural beauty by driving slowly (40 km/h) along the panoramic road of Luštica, while beautiful cultural heritage fortifications and religious buildings can be seen from secret areas, in anticipation of which village you will taste the famous Luštica prosciutto and taste cheese and olive oil. and numerous delicacies.
