The feature-length documentary film "On golden scales - Olympic Herceg Novi", directed by Ivica Vidanović, made under the auspices of the Municipality of Herceg Novi, and dedicated to athletes, sports workers and collectives who wrote the history of Olympic sports with their successes, won the Grand Prix of the second international sports film festival - Budva sports and arts film festival – BSAFF.
The jury, chaired by Ognjen Rakčević, announced that in the Olympic year, and in accordance with the slogan of this year's festival "Olympic Dream", it especially appreciated the authors and stories from these areas and that by selecting the laureate in this way, it wants to encourage some new authors from this region. to choose topics related to this space.
- Appreciating the enormous effort put into fitting together great, but completely different stories, of great athletes, the Jury in this Olympic year awards the Grand Prix to the film "On the Golden Scales - Olympic Herceg Novi". The film, to the pride of all residents of Novalja, Montenegrins and people from this area in general, is a true indicator that borders do not exist and shows what is possible and achievable, said Rakčević.
At the second international sports film festival, Budva sports and arts film festival (BSAFF), 43 films from 16 countries of the world were shown.
The Budva Sports & Arts Film Festival is among the 130th members of the large world family of the Federation of Sports Televisions and Pictures on Screen (FICTS), based in Milan, where "Sport movies & TV 2024 - 42nd" will be held from November 5 to 9 Milan International Fictions Fest".
