A carnival parade in which majorettes, trombonists, City Music of Herceg Novi and members of Maskar participate will take place on Sunday, February 9 in Nikšić and invite the citizens and guests of Nikšić to the 56th Mimosa Festival.
The parade of the carnival procession starts at 11 a.m. from the Old Post Office, along the pedestrian zone to the Municipality building.
The program of this year's festival, the largest and oldest tourist propaganda event in the region, will be presented during the two-hour promotional activities at Freedom Square in Nikšić, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
After Belgrade, Zlatibor, Bijeljina, Banja Luka, Trebinje and Nikšić, the colorful carnival procession that heralds the beginning of the Mimosa Festival will visit Podgorica on the same day.
This year's festival, called "Herceg Novi is calling - festival, sun, sea", starts on February 14 and lasts until March 2, and the organizers are the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi and the Public Institution of Culture Herceg Fest.
