The international mountain car race "Podi Meridian 2024" (MBAT Podi Meridian 2024) and KUP Herceg Novi, in its traditional ninth edition, will be held from October 4 to 6 in Herceg Novi, on the Podi.
Around 100 sports drivers from Italy, Germany, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro will be tested on the challenging 4,020m track.
Among the registered competitors from abroad are multiple European champion Italian Christian Merli, CEZ champion Hungarian Laszlo Szasz, German Alexander Hin, as well as one of our best competitors and current European champion Vasilije Jakšić.
Božidar - Boško Radović, the race director, the race director said that most of the preparations for the organization of the race are in the final phase, both the work on the track and the overall structure of the organization of the competition.
"This year, we expect around a hundred, very high-quality competitors, which is confirmed by their titles. We are honored that this year we will host competitors from eight European countries, who will further contribute to the development and popularity of the race, as well as motoring in Montenegro, with their participation in the MBAT Podi Meridian 2024 and the Herceg Novi Cup. As for the specific organization of the race, the track will be fully adapted to all rules and standards, all for the safety and security of the competitors, as well as the audience. This year, the entire length of the track will also be covered by sound, so that visitors, lovers of this sport, will be able to hear the commentators and be familiar with all the events during the race", Radović points out.
Radović also said that a rich prize fund has been provided for KUP Herceg Novi.
