Great interest in the tourism offer of Montenegro at the "Balttour 2025" fair in Riga
In the organization of the National Tourist Organization of Montenegro, the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi, and strategic partners NTOCG; HG "Budvanska Riviera", renowned hotel groups "Montenegro Stars" and "Beppler & Jacobson" successfully presented the tourist offer of our country at one of the most important tourism fairs in the Baltic countries - "Balttour 2025", held from February 7 to 9 in Riga.
This prestigious event gathered more than 300 exhibitors from over 30 countries, providing Montenegro with an opportunity to strengthen its position on the markets of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
The Montenegrin delegation was led by the President of the Executive Board of the NTO of Montenegro, Dr. Miško Rađenović, who held a series of meetings with key partners and representatives of the tourism industry. During the conversation, the growing interest of tourists from this region was emphasized, which is confirmed by official data - in 2024, 34,758 tourists from the Baltic countries visited Montenegro, making 209,936 overnight stays.
"The great interest of the Baltic partners and tourists shows that Montenegro has a strong potential in this market." Direct flights and continuous promotion will further strengthen our position as a desirable destination," said Radjenović.
An additional incentive for the improvement of tourist traffic is the continuation of direct flights between Riga and Tivat, which were introduced two years ago. The airline company Air Baltic announced that flights on this route will be available from April 30 to September 28, 2025, twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Latvia, Helena Ruduša, pointed out that the historical, cultural and natural beauties of Montenegro are increasingly recognizable among Baltic tourists, and that there is significant room for further growth of cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as in the area of promotion when it comes to active tourism and gastronomy.
Special attention was attracted by the promotional event of the national airline company Air Baltic, organized for representatives of the tourism industry and the media. During the destination presentation and business meetings, the key tourism actors from the Baltics had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the novelties in the Montenegrin tourism offer.
NTO Montenegro will continue with activities aimed at attracting visitors from the Baltic countries, further strengthening Montenegro as one of the leading destinations for tourists from this part of Europe.
