The attractive mimosa flower, the festive procession of majorettes, city music, trombonists and masquerades, today aroused great interest in Bijeljina, where the 56th Mimosa Festival was promoted. On King Peter Square, where the parade ended, the sounds of the marching band were replaced by the Mediterranean song of the Castel Nuovo clapper.
After several years of hiatus, the citizens of Bijeljina welcomed and greeted the caravan of the Mimosa Festival with joy, said Dragana Dimić, from the local Tourist Organization.
"Cooperation between the cities of Herceg Novi and Bijeljina, as well as our tourist organizations, is at a high level. Herceg Novi is a favorite destination of our fellow citizens during the Mimosa Festival, but also during the summer months," said Dimić.
Tanja Mrkaić from the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi pointed out that various accommodation arrangements are available to guests for the Mimosa Festival, and the interest is excellent.
"We are also aware that tourist agencies from Bijeljina make arrangements for visiting Herceg Novi during the Mimosa Festival, and we are happy about that. Our loyal guests come from this area, and you are all welcome this time," said Mrkaić.
The program of the 56th Mimosa Festival was presented by the director of the Public Institution of Culture Herceg fest, Tatjana Ateljević, expressing her satisfaction with the friendly welcome of the Mimosa Caravan in Bijeljina and inviting citizens to come to Herceg Novi from February 14 to March 2.
The promotion of the funniest tourist and entertainment event in the region will continue tomorrow in Banja Luka.
The organizers of the 56th Mimosa Festival are the Municipality of Herceg Novi, the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi and the Public Institution of Culture Herceg Fest.
