Representatives of the national Spanish television are on a study visit to Herceg Novi and Kotor, on the occasion of filming a report on the gastronomic offer of the Boke region, that is, the Mediterranean. The representative of the Tourist Organization of Herceg Novi, Dalibor Vuković, hosted the journalists of the National Spanish Television during their visit to Herceg Novi.
It is about the show Aquí la Tierra, which originally dealt with meteorology, and was later expanded to gastronomy. In addition to Spain, the show is broadcast in all Latin American countries.
Aquí la Tierra means the broadcasting of three-minute reports from Montenegro. The first reportage refers to the preparation of raštan, as an authentic dish. The second report, at the shellfish farm in Herceg Novi, shows the process of preparing mussels and oysters. The third reportage is about Kotor krempita.
The representative of the National Spanish Television, journalist Lucia Bomil, does not hide her enthusiasm for Montenegro:
"I am in Montenegro for the first time and I am delighted with the nature. The food is very similar to ours, and that does not surprise me, because the climatic conditions are similar. What we eat in our regions, we can also find here with you", said Bomio.
For the Tourism Organization of Herceg Novi, this is a very important collaboration, which was started at last year's Tourism Fair in Madrid, and which aims to affirm the Boke region, and Montenegro, on an important market that has not been represented until now. It is a market that has great potential. About 2,850 overnight stays were recorded this year, which is 16% more than last year. The reason for this success is good air connectivity.
Experiences from the tourism fair in Madrid show that Spaniards want to visit the Mediterranean in the pre- and post-season months. Their focus is on getting to know the destination and the culture.
At the next appearance at the Tourism Fair in Madrid, the topic of discussion will be a new tourist show, which will last longer and promote the destination through several aspects.
