The Institute for Physical Medicine, Rehabilitaiton and Rheumatology „Dr Simo Milosevic“ JSC Igalo is considered to be one of the largest and most famous institutions for multidisciplinary spa treatment on the Balkans. It is a pioneer of the modern physical and preventive medicine, rehabilitation, thalassotherapy and wellness, and became one of the leading international centers for rehabilitation of children, adults and seniors.
Institute Igalo was founded in 1949. The Institute’s Physiotherapy College was opened in 1976, and turned into the Faculty of Applied Physiotherapy in 2004, which makes Institute Igalo a member of the University of Montenegro.
Following the old European tradition of natural treatments, the Institute has gained an international reputation for its successful treatment of its clients with the wide range of medical problems in the field of rheumatological, cardiac, neurologic, pulmonary and orthopedic diseases. Owing to the natural healing properties of its mud, Igalo developed into one of the largest peloid health resorts in Europe. Our excellent medical staff consists of over 300 employees – medical specialists, physiotherapists, registered nurses and other medical staff. All employees of the Institute Igalo speak English in addition to one of the following languages – Russian, Norwegian, German, French language.
